Park visits up
Visitation to Shenandoah National Park during September was up from a year ago. Statistics show the total visits in September 1976 as 282,900 while last year the total was 219,700. This is an increase of 5.8 percent.
1976 is running slightly ahead of the previous year in park visitation. To date this year the total is 2,132,400 while last year’s total was 2,015,900.
