County Garden Club
to meet October 20
Sixteen members of the Rappahannock County Garden Club attended the Shenandoah District meeting in Luray on October 7.
The Garden Club will meet Wednesday, October 20, at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Franklin Hume in Sperryville, with Mrs. Howard Holschuh co-hostess.
Fanning Baumgardner will speak on comprehensive land use plans for the county. □
Legal seminar
A Legal Education Seminar is scheduled for Saturday, October 16 in Culpeper and will be held at the Northern Piedmont Electric Cooperative on Route 29 south. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. and the seminar will begin at 9, lasting until about noon, depending upon the length of the discussion following the speakers.
The seminar is sponsored by the Legal Secretaries Association which encompasses Madison, Culpeper, Rappahannock, Fauquier, and Orange counties. All legal secretaries, whether association member or not, attorneys and any interested persons are invited to attend. The registration fee is $5.
John A. Dezio of Charlottesville will present a program on real estate and Robert M. Musselman, also of Charlottesville, will lecture on preparing Virginia inheritance tax. Information may be obtained by calling Carol Kammeter, 825-6331.□
