FIRE, RESCUE

The Sperryville Rescue Squad carried Edward Nicholas, Jr. from a car accident at Johnson’s Store to Culpeper Memorial Hospital November 30.

Amissville Rescue Squad took Mrs. Pauline Grigsby from her home on Route 622 to Fauquier Hospital December 6.

Amissville Fire Company responded to a chimney fire at the home of Jim Wood on Route 613 December 2. The following day this unit answered a call to a house fire at the M. H. Walker home at Viewtown. December 6 they were called to the Carlin Rodgers home for a malfunctioning furnace.

The Washington Fire Truck responded to a machinery fire in Huntly December 1. Front Royal units also responded to the call.

The Washington Rescue Squad was called to a train wreck outside of Culpeper December 6.
