What is Title XX? It amended the federal Social Security Act to allow the delivery of services by local social services departments not only to welfare assistance recipients but to the working poor as well, and it allows greater flexibility in tailoring services to the needs of people within the geographic areas. The meeting will be concerned with planning for providing services directly through the staff of your welfare department and through purchase from private and public vendors. Input is desired from local public officials, clients, service vendors, donors and other interested citizens. Come and participate in shaping the services plan you want for our citizens.
