R.C.H.S. Panthers Lose Close One.. .The Rappahannock Varsity Cagers lost narrowly to the Clarke County Eagles Friday night in a non-district game. The final score showed the Eagles with a 53-51 edge. The Panthers showed good offensive and defensive skills. The team was led by William Carter and Donnie Compton, with 15 points apiece. Thomas Jett chipped in with 11 points.
The J.V. squad fell to the J.V. Eagles 45-30. The Rappahannock J.V. attack was led by Wade Brown, who scored six points. Other high scorers were Greg Bright, Rodney Cook and Neils Aylor, with five tallies each.
The next game will be played at Central High School in Woodstock on December 10. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
The photography contest will end December 15. Students are reminded that all pictures must concern school life. No Polaroid or color pictures will be accepted.
