Currence

Ford Currence, 74, of Mill Creek, W. Va., died Tuesday, August 18, 1981, in Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, W. Va.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday at the S. E. Runner Funeral Home in Elkins by the Rev. Carroll McCaulley.

Mr. Currence was born on October 13, 1906, at Mill Creek, W. Va.. a son of the late Hirian and Lillie Currence of Mill Creek. He was a former teacher in the Warren County schools and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Front Royal. His wife is the former Ellen C. Seakbeil.

Surviving are five sons, Charles Currence of Flint Hill, Roger Currence of Belpre, Ohio, William Currence of Alexandria, Luther Currence of Elkins, W. Va. and Robert Currence of Marietta, Ga.; six daughters. Virginia Reedy and Charlotte Downs, both of Front Royal, Jean Thompson of Gloucester, Lillie Hill and Clara Robinson, both of Belpre. Ohio and Ann Phillips of Elkins, W. Va.; 25 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. George (Jemus) Sonda of Wabash, Ind.; four brothers, Cline Currence and Junior Currence, both of Elkins, Marshall Currence of Baltimore, Md. and Woodbride Currence of Triadelphia, W. Va.
