Moffett
Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett of Washington died Wednesday. August 19, 1981, at the Orange County Nursing Home.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday at the family cemetery on Greenwood Farm near Washington by the Rev. Dr. C. Franklyn Melton.
Mrs. Moffett was the daughter of the late Brooke and Mae Menefee Miller. She was a retired public school teacher and a member of Washington Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Brooke M. Moffett, and a granddaughter. Mrs. Robin Moffett Baker, both of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by one son. Dr. Brooke M. Moffett.
Pallbearers were Wade H. Massie 111, William G. Eastham, James W. Fletcher, Thomas B. Massie, James F. Massie and Clyde Baker.
Stier
Mrs. Margaret Ann Stier. 85, of Bella Vista, Ark., died July 10, 1981, at a nursing home there.
Graveside services were held July 14, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park in New Hall, Calif.
Mrs. Stier was born November 25, 1895, in Sperryville, the daughter of Wade and Alberta Sealock Swindler. She was a retired civil service employee.
Survivors include a son, Robert H. Stier of North Tonawanda, N. Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Hensel of Orchard Park, N. Y., and Mrs. Frankadell Matthews of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
