Mrs. Elizabeth Buntin, who will retire the end of this month after 35 years as Superintendent of Public Welfare in Rappahannock, was honored Saturday evening with a dinner at Airlie near Warrenton. About 75 friends and coworkers joined Mrs. Buntin and her family for the occasion.

The dinner was followed by a short program with Mrs. Aline Johnson of Sperryville, a member of the Welfare Board, as emcee, making a few remarks before introducing Ms. Mona Hurst, Director of the Northern Virginia Regional Office in Falls Church.

Ms. Hurst expressed appreciation to Mrs. Buntin for her years of dedicated service, saying, she had been a teacher as well as an administrator, offering instruction in ways to better implement programs with the
