Beloua Robert Simpson, student minis ter. conducted the service at Providence Church. Sunday, at 11 a m. There was a very good con gregation present, notwithstand ing the unfavorable weather. Mr. Simpson was the dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Webb Later, he will preach at Genito Church. The frequent rains that are visiting this county are not con ducive to good health, nor to fine crops. Wheat and small grains are not looking well. Possibly snow is needed to pep them up some. Mrs. B. E. Walthall went into Richmond. Thursday, and return ed Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Bell. Jr., of Richmond, were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Bell. Miss Lillie May Bell spent the week end in Richmond with Mrs. ; G. M. Rudd. Among those from a distance attending the funeral service of Mrs. Nannie Frayser. of Norfolk, at Emmanuel P. E. Church. Feb. ‘11, at 2 p. m. were Mrs. Hippy, of Lynchburg, and the Rev. and Mrs. C. E. Stewart, of Kenbridge. Mrs. Frayser was born and reared in Powhatan county and was a member of Emmanuel church. She had been a resident of Norfolk i for many years. Spears Blankingship. of Mose ; ley. was a business visitor in the ! community. Saturday.
