Pupils of the Buckingham kin - dcrgartcn. which is directed by Mrs. Roy Jones at her home near Buckingham Court House, pave a Mother Goose Valentine party on Wednesday morning. Feb 11, from 9:15 to 11 15 o'clock. All of the pupils and their mothers partici pated m the planning and carry ing out of the party activities. Mrs. Blackwell Hanes, as Mother G osc. was hostess for the occasion and introduced, at var ious intervals, Little Boy Blue, the old Woman Who Lived in the shoe, and Peter. Peter Pumpkin Eater and his w ife, who were im nersonated by Mrs. Charlie Hall. Mrs. Prank Webb. Mrs. John Wood and Mrs. Tommy Epperson, respectively Each was tradition ally attired in a most bewitching costume and re-enacted the nurs ery rhyme in the most hilarious manner. Other activities consisted of story telling, nursery rhyme re views, story plays, rhythmic acti vities. rhythm band and the dis tribution of Valentines. Refreshments and favors, in the Valentine motif, were prepared and served to the pupils and their guests by the mothers. Afterwards Mrs. Roy Jones, assisted bv Mrs. Richard Ellis and Mrs. Branch Ro'cn. served the adult guests. The grand finale came when mother^, grandme thers. and nur sery rhyme characters, led by Mother Goose, began to caper merrily to the tune of "Round and Round the Village." Pupils and their die ts were Mary Louise Webb. Sandy Hall. Diane Moss, Bill Craften. Loretta Pruden. Mary Louise Driscoll, Coleman Rosen. Peggy Rosen. Irving Epperson. Rebecca Jones.
