One hundred seventy-five pints of blood have been set as the quota for collection when the Red Cross Bloodmouile makes its second annual visit to Powhatan. Thursday, Feb. 26. This means that 17a volunteers have to be willing and eligible to give a pint of blood on this date. The hours are from 10 a. in. to 4 p. m. The place w ill be War Me morial Building where physical lacilities for carrying out this project will be set up. This proj ect is. of course, the responsibility of the American Red Cross, but in Powhatan it is being actively sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, with the co-operation of many other organizations. Mrs. Ben Johnson is county chairman for this project. She is being assisted by Mrs. E. P Hicks, recruiting chairman; can teen, Mrs. L. W. oaaggs; and Mrs. W. R. Blaiidforu in charge of registration. Also. Mrs. J. P. Jervev. Jr., chairman of nurses aids and Col. Leland W. Skaggs is in charge of the committee to equip the building for the days activities. Mrs. Katherine Brent is publicity chairman. J. M. B. Carter, county chair man of the Powhatan Chapter ol ARC. is giving this oloodmobile project his full co-operation.
