Miss Annie Barden, Of Amelia, Marries George H. Wingo, Jr. George Holland Wingo. Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Wingo. of Jetersville. and Miss Annie Laura Barden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel C. Barden, of Amelia, were married at the Bap tist parsonage in Cumberland. The Rev. T. P. Reynolds officiat ed. Mr and Mrs. Wingo will make their home at Jetersville. where he is engaged in farming. Mrs. Mothers Gives Crewe Book Review Mrs. Robert E. Withers. Jr., re viewed the book. A Man Called Peter", recently during a group meeting of the Woman's Auxilia ry of the Episcopal church at Crewe. Mis. Withers review was previously heard by the Literal-* Department of t tie Farmville Womans Club. The Crewe meeting was held in the home of Mrs. M. R. Hughes. Mr., Mrs. Gates Jr., Bridge Hosts Mr. and Mr-. D A Gates. Jr entertained the Buffet Bridge Club on Valentine's night Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hawkins. Mr and Mrs Walter Cunningham. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kauffmann Miss Lou Newman and Harrj Hardy Mr. Gates won high score for the men: Lou Newman won high score for the ladle . and Mrs. Kauffmann won Hie floating prize. Miss Batterson Mr. Irving M’ed Miss Laura Batterson. of Hope well. and William Emory Irving, of Catersville and Hopewell, were married Saturday afternoon. Feb. 14. in Cartersville baptist par sonage. The Rev Cecil Smith officiated for the ceremony m -.ir presence of a few relatives and friends.
