The apointment, on the recom mendation of Athletic Director Bob Thalman. carries with it the responsibilities of football line coach, and assistant in baseball and basketball. The Danville appointee, now completing a military service tour with Fighter Squadron 71 at Quonset Point, R. I., will report to Hampden-Sydney Setember 1. Fulton, a high school All-Amer ican at Danville's George Wash ington High before coming to H SC in 1950. was an All-Little 8 grid selection for all four years of college. The Little All-Ameri can honor came in his senior year. Fulton lettered in baseball, also, for four years, and captained or co-eaptained Tiger football and baseball teams his final two years. An outstanding campus leader, he was president of the student body, of DDK leadership society and of his fraternity. Pi Kappa Alpha His first year at H-SC, he was chosen the outstanding fresh man: he received the Adamson Scholarship for leadership in his junior year, and received the Gammon Cup as an outstanding graduate in 1955. Fulton was selected for the Bedford Junior Chamber st Com merce sportsmanship award in his last year of football as represent ative of the Virginia small col leges. He is married to Virgin: : Ann Perkins, formerly of Dany as, and has been in service most of the rime since his graduation.
