Sweeden Allen visited Mr. and Mrs. j Pink Ownsby, Mrs. O. M Bolling and Mr. and Mrs. Buck Mills, of Andersonville, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Flippen, and children, of Columbia, were supper guests of the Alfred Harrises. The rain Monday afternoon was gladly received, as i! was beginning to get very dry in this section. Mf. and Mrs. Joshua Dunkum were luncheon guests Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Harris. All those attending the tour of the new and remodeled homes, spon sored by the national Home Demon stration club Tuesday, enjoyed the day very much. Mrs. A E. Coleman's many friends and the Herald staff will be sorry to hear of her accident Sun day afternoon. She fell and broke her hip, and is a patient in the Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynch burg. She is the mother of Harold Coleman, of Curdsville. Mrs. M. M. Julian called on Mrs. F. F. James and Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Ownby. of Trents Mill, last week. Chula Sheryl Marguerite Russell, of Richmond, was christened Sunday Tnorning at Drewry Bluff Prt-.sb.v terian church. The Muncie Dodson family, Mrs Ella Giles and Cpl Charles Utz were present at tie christening They enjoyed a buffet dinner at the home of Mr and Mrs. James Russell, of Richmond. Elmer Felts is in Grace Hospital due to an eye injury. Ho was visited Monday night by his family and Raymond and Aubrey Dodson. Clinton Warriner is a patient at Medical College Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bland .of Richmond, are enjoying a trip to New York City this week. Mrs. Bland was formerly of Chula. I. W. Vaughn is home again after spending several weeks with his .daughter in Richmond Bruce Nelson spent the week end with his parents, the S. L. Nelsons Phillip Barnard and James Burke came home this week end to attend
