Sheppards There was a family reunion at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Finn Sunday to honor George Ei con on his birthday. Mr. Elcan's children. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene El can. Mrs. Margaret Lacy and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rosen entertained at dinner. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elcan, of Wash ington. D. C.. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Elcan. of Blacksburg: Mr. and Mrs. John Garnett, of Farmville: Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Elcan, Mrs. George H. Elcan. Jr. and children, of Lynch burg. and Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Jones, and children. Mr. Elcan's other son. Will’am Cleveland Elcan. and family, were not able to come down from Dayton, Ohio. There were many visitors in the neighborhood for the Easter holi days. and the services at the churches were well-attended. How wonderful it is to meet together and give thanks for our bountiful bless ings. Mrs. Monroe Jones spent the va cation at her home. Her son, Rovall Jones, of Statesville. N C , and grandson, Stevie, spent several days | recently with her. Mrs. Shlpplett Spends Week End Ms. G. D. Shiplett, of Roanoke, spent the week end with her son-in law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. ; Cleveland Jones. Among those attending the Woman's club meeting Friday were M’-s. T J Bailey. Mrs. Paul Jones. Mrs Frank Johns, Mrs. Cleveland Jones and Mrs. W. H. Chappell. Hickory Grove Home Demonstra tion club will meet at the home of M’s. Emmett Dunkum Tuesday afternoon. May 14 Mrs. Gordon Grigg spent the Fas ter holidays with her mother. Mrs. Alice Forbes, and Dr. and Mrs. Roland Hutchings. M’s. Georgie Cox. of Lynchburg, visited relatives in the neighbor hood. She came with Mrs George Elcan. Jr.. and children, who spent Saturday with the Cleveland Joneses. Oranges in Richmond Mrs. Robert Orange, and family, spent Sunday in Richmond with Mrs. Ear! Dunkum. Mr and M-s. Mark Elcan. Jr., and daughter, • Martha Marie, of Lynchburg, spent a day with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Elcan. The Mark Elcans spent then Easter vacation w-ith her parents.
