Prospect Rev. Philip Thomas is guest preacher in a series of meetings at Abilene this Week. The second session of the study "Youth in a Responsible Society" was held at Prospect Methodist church Monday. Mrs. Jack Jones was hostess at a shower Thursday honoring Mrs. Nat Wilkerson. Mrs. J. E. Glenn. Jr., was co-hostess. Ten of Ernest Carson's children visited him in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hix during the week end. They included Crawford, of California; Donald, of North Caro lina; Crote. of Richmond; Elantha, of Covington, and the rest from nearer by. Mrs. Belle Marshall, of Peters j burg, spent the week end with her daughter, Mrs. C. B. Carson. Mrs. R. B. Wilson, of Green Bay, : and Stuart Glenn, of Richmond, were Sunday guests of Mrs. Etta Glenn. Mrs. Belle Vaughan and her grandson, of Nashville, N. C., were week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Glenn. Miss Carey Blanton Price and C. M Price. Jr., spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Price. Emma Garnett Hix and Anne Hix visited Mrs. Lester Nuckles in Buckingham during the week end. Mrs John Lane visited relatives jin Cumberland over the week end Miss Patsy Lane went with friends to Newport News. Mrs. Charles Henry, and children, of Richmond, were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Glenn. Rev. and Mrs. Philip Thomas spent a few days last week at Dahl gren as guest of her mother. Mrs. C. H. Rucker and Mrs. Lil lian Cocks spent a day with Mrs. Bennett T. Taylor in Farmville. Mrs. E. W. Pitzer, Mrs. Roxie O'Connor and T. A Tweedy, of Roanoke, were in Prospect Wednes day.
