' Mrs. John F. Deekens and daugh- j ter. Louise, were in Waverly last; week visiting her parents. Mr. and; Mrs. James Mavor. While there they went to see some of the gar dens nearby which were open dur ing Garden Week. Mrs. Wayne Keener was honored at a baby shower Saturday in the home of Mrs. Howard Easter. Hos tesses were Mrs. H. S. Emerson, Mrs. Ranny Denny and Mrs. Duke Dickerson. There were about 30 guests present. Miss Mary Helen Hutcheson, Miss Eliza and Miss Lucy Southall repre sented Christ Episcopal church. Amelia, at the youth conference held Saturday and Sunday at Car tersville.
