Traffic Light Installed At
Main and Middle Streets
- A caution light has been installed on the corner of Main and Middle streets in Washington. This light has been badly needed for years, as this is one of the most dangerous corners in town. The former P.-T. A., the former town council and the present town council have worked on this project. It is hoped the State Highway Departmen will realize the need -for more traffic signs and markers in Rappahannock county. '
Beauty Contest And
Minstrel at Rapp’k Fair
-■The Womans Auxiliary of the Rappahannock Volunteef Fire Company will hold a Womanless Beauty Contest Saturday at the Rappahannock Fair, in the-auditorium of the Rappahannock High School, at 7:30 p.m. Admission ' for this show will be 35 cents for adults and 20 cents for children. Hr. John Snead, Dr. Edwin East.ham, William Moffett, Dutch Up-v dike, George Wotfd, Carlyle Lea, and Paul Walker are a few of the men who have been entered so far. -
Also on Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening at 2 p.m and 8:30 p.m. the ladies of the Sperryville Auxiliary of The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Company will present a Minstrel Show. The admission for afternoon and night performance will be 35 cents for adults and 20 cents for children under 12 years of age.
