Attend Portrait Unveiling
In Manassas
Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Smith attended the unveiling of a portrait of Mrs. Smith’s father, John Pendleton Leachman, Friday at Manassas. The portrait was presented to the county of Prince William by the Leachman family and will hang in the court house at Manassas. Mr. Leachman was for twenty four years treasurer at Manassas.
All of the children of the late Mr. Leachman were present, also all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After the unveiling ceremonies a dinner was held at the home of Mrs. Robert Hancock Smith, who now lives on the old Leachman farm, which* has been in the family since the 1600’s.
