On the third Sunday, October 15, The Gospel Echoes of Perryham, Md., will render a program of music at 3 o’clock at the First Baptist church, Washington.
Scrabble School* Hold* Election
Each year grades 4 through 7 hold an election by ballot for their Junior League officers.
The paying of 36 cents on or before September 22 made them eligible to register by filling out correctly the regular registration form. Twenty-six pupils registered this year. Sixteen went to the polls and voted on October 3 by ballot.
Those elected were John Williams, president; Ruth Aylor, vicepresident; Jesse Frye, secretary; Jane Wallace, assistant secretary; Janie E< Andes, trea^urer.^ Ru*? sell Aylor acted as registrar, and ballots were counted by Mrs. Bryning.
Joshua Beckwith of Boston, Mass., is visiting his brothers, Ernest, Frank, and Brown Beckwith, at Smedley.
Mrs. Dorothy Clanagan arid children of Front Royal visited relatives at Smedley on Sunday.
