Joanie Long Stricken
With Polio At Norfolk
Word has fbeen received here of the illness of Joanie Long, 12year-old daughter of Capt. and Mrs. John Long of Norfolk.
Joanie was stricken with infantile paralysis last week and is in an iron lung in De Paul'hospital, Room 346, Norfolk. Both arms and legs are affected.
Joanie’s mother is the former Miss Catherine Keyser of Rappahannock.

Tour on Skyline Drive
The Rappahannock Garden club will meet Friday, October 13, at the Sandwich Shop in SperryVille and drive to Panorama. There a Forest Ranger will meet th$ club members at 2 o’clock to conduct a Nature Tour over part of Skyline Drive.
If it is raining Friday, the tour will be held Monday, October 16, at the same time and same place.
