1. 1 he owners and custodians of all dogs four (4) months old and over in the County of Rappahannock shall have said dogs inoculated or vaccinated against rabies before March 1, 1952. It shall be unlawful for any person to bring into Rappahannock County or keep any dog over the age of four (4) months in said County unless said dog has been vaccinated or inoculated against rabies.
2. After March 1, ~1952, no license shall be issued by the Treasurer of Rappahannock County or his agent for any dog unless there is presented to said Treasurer or his agent at the time application for license is made, a veterinarian's certificate or written affidavit by the owner or other person that said dog has been effectively inoculated or vaccinated ' against rabies.
3. Vaccine for the inoculation or vaccination regained shall be furnished at cost by the County of Rappahannock and is to be distributed by the Local Health Department and the County Agent for use in such clinics as may be arranged by said Local Health Department or the County Agent. The actual cost of such vaccine shall be paid by each individual hiying his dog or other animal vaccinated. Veterinarian's fees to administer the vaccine shall be paid by the county if dogs are brought to central clinics before March 1, 1952. The date, time, and place of those clinics will be published when arranged. Free veterinarian's services are not available after March 1, 1952.
4. It shall be unlawful for any owner or custodian of any cat or unlicensed dog or any dog not inoculated or vaccinated against rabies to permit the same to run at large within this County. A' dog or cat shall be deemed to run at large while roaming, running, or self hunting off the property of its owner or custodian, and not under its owner’s or custodian’s immediate control.
5. Any cat or known unlicensed1 or uninoculated dog while running at large as above defined may be killed by the game twWrden or police officer or any person of this County or State.
6. All foxes suspected of having rabies may be killed on sight by any person.
