Campbell Named
Board Chairman
W. Curtis Campbell was named Chairman of the Board of Supervisors at the first meeting of 1952 Wednesday, January 8, at the ^Courthouse. Clerk James M. Settle presided at the opening of the meeting to conduct the election of the chairman. » E. M. Estes, new member of the board from Piedmont district, ..nominated Mr. Campbell and H. **B. Wood seconded. A. H. Buckner cast an opposing vote and J. P. Cook was absent.
Following the election. Chairman Campbell presided ever the meeting, opening his chairmanship with an expression, of appreciation to the supervisors for their confidence and stated his resolution to perform his duties to the best of his ability. *
