Hurt—Hickman
The wedding of Miss Letitia Hickman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Hickman of Washington and Charles William Hurt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Werter Hobson Hurt, of Culpeper county, was was solemnized Wednesday afternoon, December 19, in the Chapel of University of Virginia.
The Rev. W. R. Snead, pastor of Stevensburg Baptist church, of which the bridegroom is a member, officiated at the candlelighted ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Farmington Country dub.
Mrs. William Davidson of Durham, N.C., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Misses Betty and Mary Hurt, asters of the bridegroom; Miss Louise Miller of Washington; Miss Jean Smith of Williamson, West Virginia; and Miss Molly Wood and Miss Mary Brey of Philadelphia.
JMr. Hurt was best man for hi3 son and groomsmen were Philip Sprinkel of Martinsville, Paul Gordon of Falls Church, Fred Ballard of Chattanooga, Tenn., Will Day of Cincinnati, and Woods Stringfellow and W. H. Hurt, Jr., of Culpeper.
The couple left for a brief wedding trip and joined the Hurt family at "Belair” in Cnlpeper county for the Christmas holidays.
