McKinley Roosevelt Grigsby
McKinley Roosevelt Grisby departed this life December 11 at Warren Memorial hospital, Front Royal, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Lindsay and Lucy Grigsby, He w»3 born August 7, 1903, and was 48 years of age. He was baptized at Hopewell church by the Rev. Carroll. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Havana Netha of Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Frances Roaks of Brooklyn, New York; and Dalores Grigsby of Brooklyn, New York. One son, Lindsay of New York. One brother, David of Sperryville. Six sisters, Mrs. Mary Barfield of San Francisco, California; Miss Luema Grigsby of Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Lillian Holland of Sperryville; Mrs. Sally Walton of Macon, Georgia, Mrs. Lucy Brown of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Havanna Jeffries of Sperryville; an uncle, James Grigsby, of Washington; and an aunt, Mrs. Sally Wise of Columbus, Ohio.
Mrs. Hattie Jackson, who had a family reunion, .was with all of her children from Burke, Fairfax and Woodville. The friends who joined them for dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wigington and Walker Gordon of Luray and John Glasker of Scrabble.
Guests of Mrs. Hattie Jackson on Friday were Turner Jackson of Lee Roy, New York, her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Haney and Charles Jackson, all of Peola Mills. Callers in the afternoon were Mrs. George Noaks and two foster children and Mrs. Henry Glasker and Samuel Glasker of Woodville.
Miss Rosie Barbour spent the Christmas with her friend, Mrs. Hattie Jackson.
Miss Mildred Timbers had as her bouse guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Fletcher and granddaughter, Margaret.
Mrs. Cornelia^ Perry and Davie Austin of Baltimore spent New Year's Day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Timbers.
•Mrs. Lulu Carroll of Baltimore spent New Year's Day with his mother, Mrs. Mildred Roy.
Mrs. Mildred* Williams, Mrs. Nannie Starks and Bobbie Simmons, and McCoy Williams had dinner on Thursday with Miss Mildred Timbers.
Will Starks was a dinner guest Wednesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Fletcher at their home in Harris Hollow.
