We must choose between a government which will continue to mollycoddle us and to feed us on ourselves to our eventual destruction; or a government that will take this nation back to “Rugged In- . dlvidualism” under which each citizen will again fend for himself instead of looking to Uncle Sam for handouts.

The weather-man can have his job; I don’t want it.
To begin with, he never can fix the weather up to please all the people, and like times when he sends out reports on rain for the picnic day, he’s very unpopular.
Folks tell me that the cold spell coming around the middle of May, as it did, is known as “Snowball Winter,” and it always gets cold when the snowball bushes bloom. That’s a new one on me. I’ve heard that there is often a cold season when blackberries bloom, but the “snowball’* business is * new one.
