A sweet old lady went to see a psychiatrist. “Doctor,” she said, “my children think I am funny just because I like pancakes.”

“Why, there’s nothing wrong with that; I like pancakes myself,” said the' doctor.

One of my favorite psychiatrist stories is told on one of the M.D.’s when he tried! using his knowledge on his own young sons. He decided to try the modem book method: hj had a nice, man-toman talk with the boys. “Now, this is our home,” he began, “and we shall all work together to keep it clean and we can have more time for play together, or to watch television . . .” etc. The doctorfather even went so far in his man-to-man talk as to outline certain chores to each boy — so mother wouldn’t have so much to do, and there would be more play time (ad nauseam). The boys listened politely and appeared cooperative.
