Washington Jr. club met Tuesday. The group decided to^enroll in bread project for summer work and all wished to go to camp. The delegates selected were Shirley Smoot, Lorrain Garrison, Jack Rutherford and Arthur Smoot. Mrs. Mattel Racer judged projects exhibited by the members and awarded the following ribbons: Mary Frances Pullen, blue; Shirley Smoot, red* Lorraine Garrison, yellow; Lorraine Settle, yellow; and Esther Mae Fincham.
Woodville 4-H met Thursday for their regular meeting. I would like to compliment these girls and their leader on their exhibit of project work completed during the school years: Mrs. Felton Carter, leader, and memIters, Betty Clark, Rubie Hitt, Jean Ruth Butler, Gladys Jenkins. Annie Dodson, and Adele Sisk. Awards given were: Adele Sisk, blue; Annie Dodson, blue; Gladys Jenkins, yellow, Jean Ruth Butler, red. The girls each gave a demonstration on their project as follows: Annie Dodson, “How to Sew on a Button”; Jean Ruth Butldr, “How to Gather a SkirtRubie Hitt, “How to Fringe;" Gladys Jenkins, “How to Baste;" Betty Clark, "How tfx Thread a NeedleRubie Mae Jenkins, “How to Hem” and Adele Sisk, “Making a Buttonhole."
Sperryville II 4-H decided to raise enough money to pay $4.50 on . each delegates trip to Camp in August. Delegates chosen were: Donald Gore, Reid Payne, with Billy Nicholson as boys alternate. Millie Sisk and Carolletta Gough with Betty Johnson as alternate for girls.
Carolletta Gough won a red ribbon on oatmeal cookies exhibited and Betty Johnson gave a demonstration on “Correct Ways to use a knife and a fork.” Mrs. George Taylor leader, judged these exhibits.
