The part of the local 4-H leaders are very necessary and important for the success of the local 4-H club. The part of these leaders being to train youth, give guidance when they need it, to teach and inspire them with possibilities of 4-H work and the farm as a way of life. As each of these leaders can tell you successful 4-H club work requires much planning and record keeping.

Thirty-seven ladies from Rappahannock Home Demonstration Gubs visited points of interest in Washington Tuesday. The group was conducted through the capital by Representative Burr P. Harrison. The ladies enjoyed the history and stories told by the honorable Mr. Harrison about different parts of the capit*f, statues, and paintings. The members then went to the Congressional Library and over to Custer Lee Mansion in Arlington and completed their tour by visiting the Tomb of Unknown Soldier. This trip was planned by County Federation Chairman, Mrs. George Taylor in connection with Federation Goal, Youth and Community Recreation, stressing citizenship and youth. Persons taking part in the tour were: Mrs. Less Walter and one; Mrs. A.C. Latham and one; Mrs. Joe Hitt, Mrs. Aria Brokon, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Lewis Harrison, Mrs. Grace Weaver, f Mrs. Ada Updike, Mrs. Harry Rutherford, Mrs. Mabel Racer, Mrs. L. R. Hudson, and one, Mrs. E. V. Green, Mrs. Wade Pullen, Mrs. C. R. Hite, Mrs. M. W. "'-Brown, Mrs. Lester Yates, Mrs. Jean Gallihugh, Mrs. J. L. Yowell, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. J. W. McClaskey, Mrs. Henry Sisk, Mrs. Charles Green, Mrs. Guy Burke, Mrs. Lily Barber, Mrs. Ethel Racer, Miss Catherine Orange, Miss Ruth Clark, Mrs. J.E. Keyser, Mrs. Virgil Updike, Mrs. Charles Smith and Mrs. Elizabeth Racer. .Woodville D. Gub was entertained by Mrs. Joseph Pauze Friday afternoon. The group welcomed Mrs. Charles Settle, Mrs. Maurice O’Bannon and Miss /innie Stephenson.
