Many local fishermen have reported nice catches from farm ponds this spring. There are over 50 ponds m Culpeper and Rappahannock Counties that have been stocked with fish for a period of 3 years or longer. Fishing in these ponds should be at its best this year.
Dick Baridon, recent purchaser of the _ Fred Hitt farm near Estes, has developed a complete soil and water conservation plan for his farm in cooperation with the Culpeper Soil Conservation District. Mr. Baridon intends to develop this farm as a Ijeef cattle unit, growing mostly grasses and legumes.

Grace church, The Plains, is the scene again this year of the Art Show. The'show opens at 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, and remains open until 10 p.m. Monday, May 26.
