Jackie Brown, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Brown of Sperryville, was carried to Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal on Saturday night following a brief illness with pneumonia at his home. Mr. Brown is staying in Front Royal to be near his son and later reports are that the boy is improving and will be able to return to his home in a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. John R. Gore, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Gore, and son were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Estanich, of Eastpines, Riverdale, Maryland.
Rev. and Mrs. W. B. Dennis were guests of Mrs. Florence Johnson on Wednesday.
Mrs. John Keyser and Charles W. Keyser of Linden were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Frank Wood and Miss Mary Miller Wood. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Wayland and, family of Culpeper were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Wayland. —.Eirst-Mato... Reid. Jr., were guests for a few days last week of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wayland and children spent the weekend in Richmond, where they joined Mr. Wayland’s mother, Mrs. R. B. Wayland of Portsmouth for a visit with relatives.
Those from Sperryville who took part in the trip to Washington, D. C. were Mrs- George Taylor, Mrs. M. W. Brown, Mrs. Henry Sisk, Mrs. Lester L. Yates and Mrs. J. W. McClaskey.
Mrs. Cecil Carder is visiting her mother, Mrs. Ertha Hawkins while Rev. Carder is attending the Southern Baptist Convention in Miami, Florida.
Miss Mattie Rector has returned home after spending last week with Mrs., Florence Johnson.
