230 ENROLL IN HIGH SCHOOL
About 230 students put in their appearance for the opening of the session at Rappahannock County High School, Tuesday morning.
Mrs. C. B. Johnson of Woodville is substituting in the home economics department until the regular teacher arrives.^* , .
School bus schedules were on the regular runs for the opening day; that is, all but Mr. Nethers’ - bus on the F. T. Valley road. That one didn’t seem to think it had enough vacation, so it refused to start. Another bus had to be dispatched for the F. T. trip.
It will be necessary to gather grade school enrollments from all schools in the county before the number of grade school children can be determined.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Evans of Madison Hoad, Culpeper county, have announced the birth of a son, John Russell, born August 28.
Mr. Evans is known in Rappahannock is one of the “bottled gas” men, for he makes the rounds every week in the service truck.
Mr. and Mrs. Willie Payne and Russell Racer spent Sunday in Westminister, Maryland.,
