Donald Groseclose, agriculture

Donald Groseclose, agriculture instructor in the Rappahannock High School, who with Mrs. Groseclose, have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey at “Sunstroke Manor,” have moved to the home of Mrs. D. B. Smith for the school session. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown arrived on Wednesday from Kansas for a short visit at “Rock Villa,” the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. Early in September, Mr. Brown will leave for Georgia, where he will enroll as a student at the Vet School at University of Georgia. Mrs. Silas Bruce, who has been the guest of relatives in Front Royal for the past few weeks, has returned to the home of her daughter and sonin-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Brown. Mrs. Clarice S. Mundy and son, Billy and her mother, Mrs. E. J. Singleton were accompanied last week to Colonial Beach by Mrs. Doris Mathews and children,, Tomto, Michael and Glenn Jr. and Mathew DeCoss of Alexandria. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Aylor and two children, Joe and Ann Yates returned to their home in Arlington on Monday afternoon after a week-end and holiday visit with relatives here. Among those from Sperryvillc who were guests of Miss Neville Wood at a picnic at Powell’s Fort on Sunday were Elizabeth Smith, Peachy Lyne, Judy Hawkins, Betty Taylor Bruce, Faye Black, and Bobby Menefee.

Guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown were Mr, ana Mrs. T. B. Danny of Clarksburg, West Virginia and son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Ice of Elkin, West Virginia. Mrs. George Hawkins and daughter, Judy, Mrs. George W. Brown and Elizabeth Smith were in Culpeper on^ Saturday. Robert W. Sealock of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend holiday with his mother, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock at the . Lee Highway Hotel. Miss Barbara Brown of Washington, D. C. spent the Labor Day week end with her mother, Mrs. Catherine Brown and family .
