Sperryville News Notes Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood were Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Shackleford and son, Henry Schaddeford. Oh Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Wood were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser at Washington. On Monday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Wood visited Tom Massie, who is recovering from a fall from a horse at his home in Washington. Mrs. James M. Thornton left on Sunday for Georgia, where she holds a teaching position. Mr. Thornton, who is with the Park service, will leave at a later date. Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. L. J. Kilby, Mrs. J. Rodes Brown and Mrs. W. H. Lyne attended the final concert at Avon Mills on Sunday; oMaitry W. Brown, a patient at McGuire, Hospital in Richmond, spent the weekend at his heme. Although Mr. Brown is still confined to the wheel chair, he hopes soon to have his artificial leg adjusted and return to his home in the near future. He has been in the hospital more than three months, where his leg was amputated. Guests in the Brown home during the weekend and Sunday were Mrs. Julian Ragan and son, Donnie of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice . Shirey of Front Royal, Mr. Patton of Falls Church, R. E. Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Revercomb, A. L. Brown, Frank, Brown, Henry Brown, and daughter, Bonnie Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Way land, Harry Mundy, Charlie Cloud, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Gore and Mrs. Helen Bruce. Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey and W. N. Rector visited relatives in Fauquier on Labor Day. t Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Brown, Carolyn and Michael and Mrs. William Groves returned . home Saturday after a sightseeing tour to New York City and Niagara Fails. Mrs. Lucy W. Hawkins and son, Gordon Hawkins were guest£ over the weekend of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce at “Jackson Hill.” Miss Ruth Menefee spent the week , end in Washington, D. C *
