Elder W. E. Essex of Whitetown, Indiana is assisting Elder R. H. Thompson ,,'in a series of revival meetings at the Regular Baptist Church. On Monday Elder and Mrs. Essex and Elder R. H. Thompson were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Swindler. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Johnson during the weekend were Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson, Miss Helen Johnson of Hagerstown Maryland, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clatterbuck, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Rector and two children, Rebecca and Eleanor of Flint Hill, James Nelson Rector of Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Essex. Jr. spent last weekend at the Chapman home her and were accompanied home on Tuesday by Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman, who were the guests for the rest of the week returning here on Saturday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman also visited their daughter, Mrs. W. B. Wake and Mr. Wake at Saluda and their granddaughter, Mrs. Bernard Waring and Waimgat Hopewell while on the trip. Mrs. Fannie Mitchell remained with her sister, Mrs. Mary Brown during last week and returned to Richmond on Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs Chapman Jr.
