Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Baldwin entertained at a dinner party on Sunday in honor of Cpl. William Burke, who leaves for California Wednesday. Other dinner guests were Charles. L. Burke, Miss Mary Ida Burke of Washington, D. C., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Baldwin and children, Thomas Jr., Dannie and Geraldine, Mrs. Gabe Burke and children, Doris, Rannie, Paul Davis and Janet, .Mr. and Mrs. Clabert Smoot and family, Shirley, Charles, Lois and Jeannie.

Mr. and Mrs. Clabert Smoot gave a dinner Friday evening honoring Cpl. William Burke. Other guests were Mrs. Gabe Burke, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas R. Baldwin and family, Thomas Jr., Dannie and Geraldine, Mrs. Clarence t Baldwin and son, Steve and Charles Lewis Burke. A dance followed with Mrs. Smoot , playing the organ and Cpl. Burke sdng several selections.

Miss Mary Ida Burke of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend writh her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gabe Burke.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin, Mrs. S.A. Beahm, Jr., Aubrey Baldwin; and Mr. dnd Mrs. Charles Molden motored to Fort Meade, Maryland to visit Pvt. George B. Baldwin.
