Racer - Emery
The Yorkshire Pilgrim Church was the scene Saturday, August 30, at 11 a m. of the marriage of Miss Marilyn Emery, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Emery, to Randall R. Racer, son of Mrs. Estella P. Racer of Mantissas and Roliert Racer. The Rev. Price performed the double ring ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the Stone Wall Jackson Hotel in Manassas. After their honeymoon they are planning on living in Phoenix, Arizona. •
MUSIC SERIES CLOSES WITH STRING CONCERT
The last of the summer series of concerts of the Blue Ridge Music Festival was given Sunday afternoon, August 31, at Avon Mills. ,,
In spite of the rain and threatening elements, the audience sat inside the mill and enjoyed the chamber music of the Blue Ridge String Quartet, with William Haaker, Director.
The guilds^ throughout the state have begun planning for the winter concerts and the return of the concerts to Avon Mills next summer. More information will be published when ( the final records are complete.
