GUESTS AT “THE OAKS”
Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Keyser of “The Oaks’! had as their dinner guests Thursday, Mrs. Keyser’s father, A. J. Slaughter and Miss Irene Keyser, of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Slaughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Simpson and family, Kenneth Jr., and Polly Ann of Front Royal.
BIRTHDAY PARTY
Charlip Thomas entertained on December 26 in honor of Walter Lee Hicks’ tenth birthday. Those present Wfere Ray, Dana, and Sam Snead, Dianne Bruce, Edna Yates Schaefer, Myrla Ann and Buddy Updike, Roger Lee Rutherford and Janet Lillard. After games were played prizes were awarded to Dana Snead and Edna Yates Schaefer and refreshments were served by the hostess.
AUXILIARY MEETING * The Ladies Auxiliary of Trinity Episcopal church will meet in the home of Mrs. J. W. Price at "the Manles” on Wednesday, January 7, at 7:30 p.m.
GUESTS AT “ROSE HILL" Dr. and Mrs. L. T. Callahan and family, Carle Lynn, L. T. Jr., and William of Washington, D. C. were guests over the holiday of Mrs. Callahan’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall of' “Rose Hill.” Dr. and Mrs. Callahan returned to Washington for their “open house” on Monday, but arrived at “Rose Hill” on Tuesday where they joined their children for the rest of their vacation.
WEEK-END GUESTS Misses Sallie and Susie Hart, daughters of Gen. and Mrs. Hart of the U. S. Army and Miss Betty Booth, daughter of Gen. and Mrs. Loomis Booth of U. S. Armv, were week-end guests of Miss Booth’s aunt, uncle and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Settle and Mrs. John J. Miller in the Settle home. -- -
