The Washington Elementary School sponsored its Christmas program on Monday, December 22. It was a great success. The leading , plays were “Santa Claus’s Helpers", “Grandfather's Clock", and “When the Little Angel Sang.”
The characters of “When the Little Angel Sang” were:Little Shephe.d, Miss Mary Lee Russell; Little Angel, Miss Mary Beckwith; Old Man, Leonard Burke; The Thief, Alfred Bridget; Mary, the mother of Jesus, Miss Georgia Pendleton.
“Silent Night, Holy Night” was sung by Misses Janet Bailey, Shirley Gatewood, Margaret Fletcher, Josephine Bridget and Charlotte Barbour. The Welcome Address was given by Miss Gloria Brent. All of the characters performed as well as experienced persons.
