According to the tales, she reported on one call that was made, long* distance, over a private line. It would have been easy to understand ii it hadn’t been for that private line part; the age-old evesdropping on party telephone lines is as old as Mr. Bell’s invention. The part that baffles is the “private line” angle.
The tale continues by saying that the telephone company is working on the trouble.
Ignorance of the working principles has me baffled. Let me see, the radio is wireless, while telephone has wires. How come they get fouled up? Aw-aw, heck! Why worry! The tale probably isn’t true, anyway.
