Appointed Postmaster At
Colonial Heights
Friends in Rappahannock will be glad to learn of the appointment of George M. Willis as postmaster at Colonial Heights.
Mr. Willis is the youngest son of Capt. Byrd Willis, deceased, of Rappahannock.
Mr. Willis has been a resident of Colonial Heights for the past 22 years and has served as a correctional officer at the Federal Reformatory. He has had 22 years as a Civil Service employee and 9 years Army experience, having served in World War I. He is a Past Commander of Colonial Heights Post No. 2239 VFW and is at present third district C o n.mander of VFW.

Mr. and Mrs. James M. Settle and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miller and family were in Washington last Thursday evening attending the Ice Capades. ' Mrs. B. R. fauneau of New York and Harrisonburg was a guest last week for several days of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith Jr. On Tuesday, Mrs. M. R. Bradford Jr., and Mrs. Smith 'arried Mrs. Launeau to Harrisonburg.
Mr. und Mrs. B, J. Wood and family, Dudley and Frances and Mrs. C. D. Wood were dinner guests’ on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Smith of Nortt Garden.
