There is a need for further reduction of the fox population before a rabies epidemic reoccurs in this area and goes on to infect other new areas. Otherwise there may occur a Tables epidemic that will not only destroy valuable cattle but may wipe out the foxes completely. Each county involved with rabies could safely stand a reduction of 750 or even 1000 foves and still leave a healthy hunting population.
Every citizen is urged to destroy all stray unlicensed dogs and cats, and to take measures against foxes. Dog and cat owners should make sure dog immunized and that the game that they have a certificate for each warden gets the duplicate. This way we will know what dogs are unlicensed and therefore susceptible to rabies.
