Richard Edward Luttrell
Richard Edward Luttrell, 87, died Monday, May 4, at his home in Amissville after a long period of declining health.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 3 o’clock from Amissvlle Baptist church with the Rev. Harold Carder and. the Rev, J. T. Edwards officiating. Masonic rites were conducted by Washington Masonic Lodge No. 78, A.F.&A.M., with interment in the church cemetery.
Son of the late Burrell Edmund' Luttrell and Mrs. Mary Nelson Luttrell, Mr. Luttrell had been a prominent farmer and owner of a tourist court at Amissville until his health became impaired several years ago. He was superinendent of the Amissville Baptist Sunday School and also served as a church deacon. He was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge for 64 years. Mr. Luttrell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florie Latham Luttrell and four children: Miss Landon H. Luttrell, Amissville; Dr. H. B. Luttrell, of Pulaski; Charles N. Luttrell of Arcadia, California; and James E. Luttrell of C?fcig» Colo.; two 'brothers, David Russell Luttrell of Arlington, and John A. Luttrell of Richmond.
