The Agricultural Department of the George Washington Carver Regional High School held its annual Parent-Son Banquet on Friday night, April 17, 1953. The banquet was decked with a large variety of different activities. Mr. James Gillum, Field Secretary of the Negro Organization Society, was guest speaker. His subject, "Father-Father, Son■Sou” was quite appropriate and "tamely. He stressed the importance of fathers making the home farm a ^pleasant place to work and live.
The crowning of Miss NFA was another new attraction with Miss ’•Comora Rector of Rappahannock "County winning the honors.
The banquet was attended by some atwo hundred and fifty parents, patrons, visitors and guests.
