The first protracted meeting was held in September 1882, and several members were added to the church.
Through the years the church has had many good pastors, and when we were without a pastor we have%been blessed by haying good supplies. Our , pastors have been Rev. L. R. Steel from July 25th, 1882 until April 4th, 1884. A. G. Fristoe September 1884 unti—? Rev. Hugh Goodwin February 1889-June 1892. Then the church was without a pastor for some time, and the thinutes were either lost or not kept for about five years. However, part of this time Dr. S. C. Clopton supplied for us. Rev- S- W. (Cole was our pastor September 1899— May 1903. For eighteen months our church was pastorless then Mr. M. R. (See Church History, page 4)
