Sperryville Grade School
The Seventh Grade Graduation Exercises were held at the Sperryville auditorium Thursday night, June 11 at 8 p.m. J. VV. Brown presided. - Following the scripture reading by Eugene Atkins, Holly Updike gave the address of welcome. “Gifts,” a selection by the 7th graders was presented. '
Wayne Thompson of Luray, Supt. Q. D. Gasque and H. B. Winfrey gave short but inspiring talks.
Evelyn Miller called the roll of the seventh grade 5-pointers while Harold Utz was in charge of the roll call of the seventh grade perfect attendance. Dolly Smiths presented “A Look Into The Future.” Following this, the seventh grade and Junior chorus sang a selection. Certificates of promotion were presented by Supt. Q. D.
