Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller Jr. of —MiHermead entertained at lunch orr Thursday in honor of Mrs. Caldwell and Mrs. Avery. Their guests were Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Avery and Mrs. Caldwell.

Mrs. Mary Bruce and Melvin Williams were dinner guests Monday of Mrs. Elizabeth Gray of Front Royal. On Saturday Mrs. Bruce was in Culpeper for the day.

Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea and son, Carlyle entertained Mrs. Robert L. Massie and son, Robert L. Massie Jr. for dinner Sunday at Guy’s Restaurant.

Miss Mary Massie Lea is visiting Mr. and Mrs. John Cargill in Chatham, New Jersey. Hayward Manuel, a patient at Kecoughtan, Hampton, returned to the Veteran Hospital on Sunday after visiting his sister, Mrs. James Lillard.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne of Washington, D. C. were week-end guests of Mr. Payne’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Payne.

Mrs. Sam Poland of Haymarket is visiting Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Hall of Rose Hill.

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Hickman and Mr. and Mrs. John R. DeBergh were dinner guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. G. Anton Burgers at their mountain lodge at the head of Harris Hollow.

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bowie were Saturday and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid.
