WASHINGTON BIBLE SCHOOL
The community vacation Bible school held this year at the Washington Baptist church will begin Monday, June 22 and will close Friday, June 26, climaxed with a picnic Friday evening. AH children over the age of 4 years of age are invited to attend. Classes wilL be held daily from 9 to 11:30 a.m. The following people have already volunteered to help with the school : Miss Mary Jenkins and Mrs. Morgan Johnston—Beginners; Mrs. Frank Jones and Mrs. Lewis Turner-Primaries; Miss Mary Miller Wood—Juniors; Mrs. Gilbert Updike and Mrs. Charles Reid—Intermediates. Miss Frances Walker will play the piano and Mrs. G. M. Profitt will lead the singing.
GARDEN CLUB MEETING The Rappahannock Garden Club will have an all-day meeting Wednesday, June 24, at the home of Mrs. C. R. Hite. Members are requested to bring a box lunch, conditioned flowers I and containers. Starting at 10:30 the i morning session will be devoted to a lecture by Mrs. Arthur Striker of 'Alexandria and the afternoon to a flower arrangement clinic with Mrs. Striker helping with individual problems.
