^ It his come to the attention of the state director of selective service for Virginia that many young men in Virginia are failing to comply with that provision of the law which requires male citizens of the United -States and certain other male per sons— residing in the United States to register with the Selective Service System within five days after becoming eighteen years of age and who were born on or after August 31, 1922 pr'or to attaining the twentysixth anniversary of their birth.
