The equipment is not nearly as expensive as was thought, for investigation shows that high schools and colleges (where money is more plentiful) are constantly replacing uniforms. Sometimes they decide to buy a new color; the old uniforms are still good and these can be purchased very reasonably.
It’s going to be work and pulling together. Everyone who is interested, is asked here and now to pull out the wallet and count the change. Do you have enough to spare to maybe buy half of one boy’s uniform? Would you be willing to work a couple of hours some afternoon to help get a football field cleared of brush? If you have any suggestions toward getting this football team started, please let them be known. The county paper would welcome letters expressing opinions. -Call some of your football-fan-friends and discuss the business with them; see what they think, and then let the opinions be known.
